How to Configure Outlook Express
  • Operating System: Windows95/98/NT
  • Application: Outlook Express
  • Application Version: 5.0

    Outlook Express

  • Open Outlook Express.

Configure Mail Settings

  • In the Display name text box, type your name.

    Provide Your Name

  • Click the Next button.
  • Select I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use.
  • In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address (for example, username@cboss.com)

    Provide Your E-mail Address

  • Click the Next button.
  • From the My incoming mail server is a __ server list, choose POP3.
  • In the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server text box, type mail.cboss.com.
  • In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type smtp.cboss.com.

    Provide E-mail Server information

  • Click the Next button.
  • In the Account name text box, type your Cboss username.
  • In the Password text box, type your Cboss password.
  • Check Remember password, if desired.

    Provide E-mail Logon information

  • Click the Next button.

    Click the Finish button

  • Click the Finish button.

Configure News Settings

  • In the Display name text box, type your name.

    Provide Your Name

  • Click the Next button.
  • In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address (for example, username@cboss.com)

    Provide Your E-mail Address

  • Click the Next button.
  • In the News (NNTP) server text box, type news.cboss.com
  • Check My news server requires me to log on.

    Provide News Server information

  • Click the Next button.
  • In the Account name text box, type your Cboss e-mail address.
  • In the Password text box, type your Cboss password.
  • Check Remember password, if desired.

    Provide News Server Logon information

  • Click the Next button.

    Click the Finish button

  • Click the Finish button.
